Text saying "Foil" in gold letters, with the words "Gold, silver... any colour actually!" underneath in various colors and fonts.

Hot foil stamping, to use it’s correct title, is a process where a metallic foil is bonded onto paper or card using a custom die. By applying pressure and heat, layers of foil are transferred and fused to the surface in a process that has changed little since it was first used in the late 1800’s.

One of the most popular and effective ways of giving your logo or text that extra ‘pop’ is to use these foil accents. They give not only shine but also a texture to your packaging. Most commonly seen in gold or silver, our foils are available in such a kaleidoscope of colours we are sure to have one to suit your look and if you can’t choose one colour, we even have holographic foils that shine with rainbow hues.

Something we love about using foil on our branded packaging is that you can get such a wide variety of styles from it. Gold foil with black, navy or burgundy packaging gives the feeling of traditional elegance - rich and luxurious, especially when combinedwith a traditional font. However using silver or gold foil with a more simple font, light colours or minimal design immediately gives your packaging a fresh, contemporary look. It really is a versatile medium and as it’s a tried and tested technology it is also a cost effective way of boosting your brand but not your budget.
