As the country starts to open up again and we begin to return to normality in the wake of the COVID19 pandemic, it’s natural to be concerned about your wellbeing. We’re here to help!
The good news is that we, as a country, are moving in the right direction and that all the hand-washing, social distancing and personal protective equipment (PPE) which seemed odd to begin with is paying off. We also know that there is still a need to be vigilant regarding protection from the coronavirus - from the little things like regular hand-washing to selecting the right kind of PPE solutions to reduce the risk of your health being compromised. Many of also have further responsibilities towards co-workers, employees, or elderly relatives that must be protected.
With that in mind and with the news that regulations are to be introduced regarding the mandatory wearing of masks on public transport, we have selected two types of disposable face masks to help you get back to normality in safety, comfort and with peace of mind.
Disposable Face Masks
These CE Certified, nonwoven, disposable face masks are great for quick single use and come in a box of 50 which is ideal to keep by the front door for when you are popping out to the shops, in the car or or to keep at the front desk of your business for staff and visitors to wear. They are hypoallergenic and antibacterial but the simple design doesn’t mean these face masks aren’t effective, as they can actually filter up to 99% of particulates (high P.F.E) and moderate sized particle droplets up to a PM2.5 rating in a disposable, cost-effective format. They are also a good reminder not to touch your face when out and about as they provide a barrier for transferring contaminants from your hands. The face masks are also adjustable with a good nasal fit making them suitable for both men and women.
The mask design is one you will be familiar with by now: a comfortable ear loop design with 3 non-woven layers and cotton filter layer. The material is soft, lightweight and odourless meaning you won’t even notice you are wearing it after a while.
Once you have ensured that the mask is fitted correctly over the nose and around the contours of your face you can be confident that you have increased your protection against Covid19 transmission.
Kn95 Reusable Face Masks
The Kn95 face mask is another option we’ve chosen to stock as it gives you a bit more flexibility when working or out and about than a standard woven type mask. While it is still a disposable mask it also features a much more durable design and because of this it means that it’s suitable to be reused throughout the day unlike the more lightweight designs. Even though they are a much more substantial product than a fabric mask, they are still really cost effective and we have them in packs of 10 so you can keep a pack handy at work or at home.
The fit is very comfortable featuring soft, durable, hypoallergenic materials with 5 layers of FFP2 equivalent protection and it filters 95% of particulates offering high air permeability. It is of course, fully adjustable and suitable for both men and women. Respirator standards around the world are based on US and EU and grades. These KN95 respirator face masks are made according to the equivalent of US N95 or European FFP2 respirators and are listed as effective “for filtering non-oil-based particles such as those resulting from … bioaerosols (e.g. viruses)’.
Breathing is comfortable and the design ensures an ideal filter effect and a strong barrier against particulates and droplets that can spread flu viruses.
